Bob RussoVERONA, N.Y. — New York optician apprentices and students can enhance their knowledge of the field and improve their preparation for the national American Board of Opticianry (ABO) licensing exam with an ABO exam review course to be offered Sunday, September 12, from 8 am to 3 pm at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, N.Y.

VERONA, N.Y. -- Student and apprentice optician members of the New York State Society of Opticians (NYSSO) can enhance their knowledge of the field and improve their preparation for the national American Board of Opticianry (ABO) licensing exam with an SAT Track program and an ABO exam review course to be offered Saturday, September 11 and Sunday, September 12, during the 2021 NYSSO Annual Convention at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, N.Y.

The New York State Ophthalmic Dispensing Basic Practical Examination and Contact Lens Practical Examination will take place Monday and Tuesday, April 19 and 20, at the Polish Community Center, 225 Washington Avenue Extension, Albany, NY 

Applications must be submitted six weeks before the examination date. Candidates may indicate on their applications whether they prefer a Monday morning, Monday afternoon or Tuesday time slot; however, however, assignments are made on a first come, first served basis and are not guaranteed.
